Scarlett Fernandez Undergoes Surgery to Remove Tumor

September 2024 · 2 minute read

General Hospital’s Charlotte isn’t the only one to have undergone surgery recently… Her portrayer, Scarlett Fernandez, did as well. The young ABC soap actress posted a couple of photos from her room at St. Luke’s Hospital, along with the hashtag “non ossifying fibroma.”

“Tyler the tumor has been evicted!” Fernandez cheered. “Thanks to my amazing surgeon, Dr. Bell and all the wonderful nurses at St. Luke’s.”

The first photo featured the actress smiling bright for the camera, even though she was clearly in recovery. And the second pic, well, it was minus “Tyler” and showed her foot and ankle bandaged up.

The mom of her castmate, Scarlett Spears, who plays Sonny and Carly’s daughter Donna, was so excited to hear that Fernandez had had the tumor removed and stated, “Yes! Get that outta there! Get to feeling better! Your mini-me wants to see you again, soon!”

And we too are super excited that the actress is now on the road to recovery!

For those who don’t know, non ossifying fibroma is said to be the most common benign bone tumor in children. Not only that, they don’t become cancerous and don’t metastasize (spread).

We hope Fernandez will be up and at ‘em and back to 100% very soon!

It’s safe to say the actress will likely spend some time watching TV or surfing the net while recuperating and if you’ve been following The Voice this season, we invite you to look back on all of the winners from the beginning leading up to the most recent in our photo gallery below.
